Autistic Child Coping with Divorce Book Review

Autistic Child Coping with Divorce Book Review

Do you have an autistic child coping with divorce?

Every week we have parents that attend our Memphis area Mandatory Parent Education Class or our Jackson, Tennessee area Parenting Seminar.  Parents ask for book recommendations for themselves and their children. This week we are focusing on a book review for kids ages 5-11. These kids may, for example, fall into the Special Needs category. Do you have an autistic child coping with divorce?  Or maybe a special needs child that needs help understanding the divorce process? Then continue reading for a book recommendation!

I Have a Question About Divorce helps an autistic child coping with divorce

If you have a special needs child or a child on the autism spectrum you may want to pick up a copy of I Have a Question About Divorce.  The authors are Arlen Grad Gaines and Meredith Englander Polsky. First, you can purchase a Kindle or hardcover version of the book on Amazon. Alternatively, you can grab a copy at the local library.  So this is definitely a cheaper option if you are wondering if the book is right for your child on the spectrum. The story itself is a great book that will help parents share upcoming changes that will happen during the divorce process. An autistic child coping with divorce processes information differently. For example, this book answers over ten common questions that autistic children have about divorce. So it is geared toward special needs children.

There are 3 different sections, including a help section for parents of autistic children coping with divorce.  The entire book is 40 pages long. I give you a detailed review of the help section in the video below.

Ways to get the book

First, you can pick it up at your local library for the cheapest option.  Second, you could purchase the book in Kindle or hardcover format on Amazon. Third, you can look at other online book retailers.  Finally, you can look for it at local book stores, including used book stores.
